30 and still single: so what?

Everyone is settling in around you and the ticking of the biological clock is getting louder and louder.

But life is not so bleak for single thirty-somethings.

We still tend to have this image of an old maid with an unattractive appearance with her cats when we imagine a single woman, over 25, with this famous status of "catherine".

On the contrary, today's singles go out a lot, travel as they please, meet new people and can even progress in their career by putting it at the forefront of their lives.

The judgment is hard to break even if morals have evolved with regard to this status over the decades.

We imagine that if you are still single at that age, it is because you have a bad temper, unmanageable, too difficult and so on.

The little phrases from your loved ones, even if the initial intention is benevolent, continue to be hurtful.

Dreaded moments like Christmas dinners are the perfect example (prepare yourselves psychologically ladies, it's coming ^^)

For some, the confirmed single woman can be seen as a hopeless cause or necessarily a lesbian if she doesn't meet men.

The pressure is felt more and more after the age of thirty. The twenties are synonymous with exploration, discovery. In the thirties, your entourage settles down, starts a family, buys a house. The pace of life with them inevitably changes, replacing impromptu outings to bars with girlfriends often for a lunch organized 2 weeks in advance, easier to manage.

After all, everything is not rosy, far from it, in this world of long-term celibacy.

The daily life of a single thirty-something can often be up and down and fluctuating.

One moment, she's chaining together little plans, outings, impromptu trips and all the freedom that this status brings to her life. And on the other, she's accompanied by little depressions, bouts of the blues. It can range from seeing a couple stuck together and envying this complicity, being jealous of all these couples around you, this desire to share as a couple, this loneliness that can weigh on you at certain times...

And then your search for Prince Charming takes a different approach than before.

You inevitably identify profiles of people who want to have children, you want to project yourself into the possible future. In this age group we will inevitably find profiles of separated, divorced men, who already have children. They do not often seek to have more.

This side " practical " in research can take away the magic that a meeting should have, due to these primary characteristics of research.

Not to mention the different types of profiles to sort through before hoping to lead to a great meeting (but that's another story 😉

Finally, the single woman knows what she wants: to live a healthy relationship with a man without giving up her independence.

Not to mention that we all have more emotional baggage in this age group. Letting your guard down can be more difficult when getting back into a relationship.

So ladies, let's put things into perspective and being single also has many advantages.

I will list them for you in one of my next articles.
