Remakes & reboots of cult series
First of all, a short glossary to differentiate these two terms.
Remake is an English term meaning " redo ". It is used in the film industry to describe the resumption of a work: film or series. It is not a sequel or a prequel, but rather the resumption of a story and scenario.
Reboot is an English term literally meaning "reboot". THE reboot must meet some rules. It must follow the plot of the story. The context is similar. The construction of the scenario can however differ slightly in order to create a different plot but faithful to the concept of the original work. This is what differentiates the reboot of remake.
