I tested… CBD oil
Let's start with the basics: yes, it is completely legal.
Having been booming for some time, these products, including CBD oil, are becoming more and more accessible to the general public.
But what is it exactly?
CBD is a component extracted from the hemp flower, cannabis
But be careful, you have to distinguish between THC and CBD
THC is one of the narcotic substances, known for its psychotropic effects.
CBD, on the other hand, has a THC level of less than 0.2%
So it's clearly not a drug.
According to the World Health Organization, CBD has no psychoactive effects and does not induce dependence.
It does not alter your consciousness or perception, making it safe and risk-free to use.
Known for its many benefits, I started taking it some time ago
I needed to calm my mind, my nerves were on edge, I felt upset or angry over nothing and I could no longer control this wave of emotions.
Known for its calming and relaxing properties but also its antioxidant properties, I decided to give it a try.
What are its benefits?
- Natural Anxiolytic: Reduction of stress, anxiety and mood swings
- Decrease in sleep disturbances
- Reduction of pain and inflammation (acts as a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory)
- Reduces fatigue
- Alleviation of acne, psoriasis, eczema (anti-aging virtue)
- PMS Relief
- Muscle recovery
How to use it?
CBD comes in many forms and different ways of administration are possible (topically, orally, spray, transdermal patches, capsules, in food and more)
The sublingual route is the most effective
Simply place a few drops with the pipette under your tongue and wait 30 to 60 seconds before swallowing.
(personally mine has a coconut aftertaste, otherwise it often has no particular taste)
It takes 30 minutes to 1 hour before you feel the effects of the oil.
In fact, this method of administration is the best because it avoids passing through the digestive system which reduces the effectiveness of the CBD, due to the digestion process.
Regarding dosage, start with a low concentration and low dose to observe the effects on your body.
Allow a few days before you feel the first noticeable effects.
Increase the dose according to the effects felt
Rest assured, as it is not a drug, it is impossible to overdose on CBD, you will not have any after-effects in any case.
My first week I had to take a dose that was maybe a little too big in the morning. As a result, I felt a little drowsy to work afterwards then I readjusted the doses and since then, I found what works for me
I have been taking it for a month - a month and a half, and I have to say that I feel much more relaxed, much less stressed and all those emotions that were overwhelming me have faded away as well.
It feels good and it relaxes.
For PMS I have to say that I had very few cramps compared to usual too.
In addition to using it sublingually in the morning, I also put a few drops in my herbal tea in the evening. For now, this dosage suits me well.
Where to get some?
Being legal, you can now find it almost everywhere, many websites sell variations of CBD in teas, gummies, oils, coffee etc.
There is something for everyone
The one I use is Mellow's Oil Purity 30ml 1000mg oil
