Those moments of solitude that we have all experienced at least once in our lives.

We all know those little moments of solitude that we would like to forget, that were not on the agenda. Where we say to ourselves "VDM"

Which makes us either want to cry or laugh, or the irrepressible urge to want to hide in a mouse hole.

Here is a little cocktail of those moments of solitude, in all areas of life, that happen to all of us.

Don't hesitate to share your anecdotes in the comments 😉

  • Falling in public, or even worse, in front of your crush. And this habit we all have of getting up and pretending nothing is wrong and trying to put on a brave face. While inside, we are dying of shame and just want to get out of here quickly.
  • When the buttons on your suit pop as soon as you move a little. And you end up realizing 4 hours later that you were literally in your bra in front of everyone in that bar.
  • The classic toilet paper stuck to the shoe or worse, the skirt stuck in the panties. Oopsy!
  • When you listen to your guilty pleasure music on the subway, to get you going first thing in the morning. But the mocking looks tell you that your headphones are not plugged in properly. And that in fact you were sharing your "masterpieces" with the whole oar.
  • Sleeping on the train/bus/plane with your mouth wide open, and a string of drool hanging out of the corner of your mouth.
  • Offering a pregnant woman a seat on public transport when she is not pregnant
  • Watching a movie with your parents and finding yourself faced with a long, endless sex scene… Absolute embarrassment… Any excuse is valid to escape it: from feeling peckish to going to the toilet. Or if you experience it these days, you can at least pretend to look at your phone, send a message 😉
  • Finding yourself at the end of a night out with just the outline of your lipstick and the black pencil that has run (we all know that girls, don't come to me ;-))
  • The joys of teleworking when in the middle of a meeting with big clients a “Mom, I have to poop!!!” deafening.

There are so many that I could fill pages.

Well, to finish, a few more moments of solitude that happened to me.

(Even though I have also experienced some in those listed above of course)

  • Finding myself locked in the Montparnasse train station, one weekday evening, when I first arrived in Paris. Not yet knowing the closing times of the station in relation to the metro. And seeing the guard arrive, laughing, after seeing me, on his cameras. Running to all the doors to find a way out, like a bird in a cage.
  • During an evening with a friend and my crush of the moment, I take out a "i like balls" instead of "i like bubbles" after offering us champagne... If this person is reading this, thank you for not noticing at the time 😉
