5 inspiring books to change your life
I have always loved reading for as long as I can remember.
I still see myself as a child. This ritual every Saturday of going to the library to borrow 3 new books for the week.
I learned to read a year ahead of my classmates, and reading has always been a part of me.
With the world of work and the rise of social networks, unfortunately I don't read as much anymore.
But for a few years now, I have been particularly interested in personal development books.
Here is a top 5 of inspiring books that could make you see your life differently and impact it, who knows?
" The 4 Toltec Agreements » by Don Miguel Ruiz

If I had to choose just one, it would definitely be this one.
The author is a Mexican teacher, who is connected to the Toltec culture.
The Toltecs developed a true philosophy of life based on the development of consciousness, self-transformation and understanding of the law of Love.
It was after a near-death experience that Miguel Ruiz wrote this book in 1997.
It has sold over 2 million copies worldwide.
Since then, he has also published the 5e Toltec agreement, which completes the first 4
We grow up with codes, customs, habits.
We are influenced by our parents, family, teachers, friends. By what decency and society expect of us. We are formatted.
Our beliefs then develop, but many of them are bad ones based on fear, judgment or guilt.
This book frees you from all that. It is a real tool for personal transformation. Teaching us how to access happiness and love in our lives, freeing ourselves from all our fears and unfounded beliefs.
Through these 4 agreements to apply to your daily life:
- Let your word be impeccable
- Don't make it personal
- Don't make assumptions
- Always do your best
" "You're Gonna Tear It Up" by Jen Sincero

In her words, the author presents us with the best for “awaken the badass in us and transform our lives”
She gives anecdotes from her personal life to explain her points.
The desire to become a better version of ourselves is what this book is about.
It is written as if it were a girlfriend who was writing to us, very playful and accessible. There are passages full of self-mockery too.
She shows herself to her reader in her true light, without embellishment. She is someone like you and me, and we can identify more easily with her journey.
And if she was able to change her life in this way, why not you?
It is one of my bedside books (as well as theThe 4 Toltec Agreements)
I often reread passages. It is clearly a book that does good.
" Transform Your Life” by Louise Hay

We create our reality.
Nothing and no one has any power over us, because we are the only ones who control our thoughts.
We learn how to change our lives by changing our way of thinking.
Or how to free yourself from your limiting beliefs and learn to love yourself.
We are talking here about one of the flagship books of positive thinking, published in 1984 but still reissued over the years.
It contains many exercises that can be done alone or in pairs. But also small inspiring texts, through 8 steps to transform your life.
" "Your second life begins when you realize you only have one" by Raphaelle Giordano

Summary : “You are probably suffering from some form of acute routinitis. – A what?” Camille, thirty-eight and a quarter years old, has everything, it seems, to be happy. So why does she feel like happiness has slipped through her fingers? All she wants is to find the path to joy and fulfillment. When Claude, a routinologist, offers her original support to help her do so, she doesn't hesitate for long: she goes for it and sets off again to conquer her dreams...
This is a personal development fiction novel. With its 29 techniques given by the routinologist, it allows us to get our lives back on track, and help us move forward in our lives.
I totally identify with the character of Camille.
Another book here that is good and also very easy to read.
Ideal for people who have everything to be happy and yet are not, who run after their life instead of living it.
"Stop being nice, be real" by Thomas d'Ansembourg

We tend to tell others the truth more easily than simply expressing what is happening inside us. Expressing your truth while respecting others and yourself, here is the project stop being nice be real.
Sensitive subjects for many, this book returns to essential questions.
How to speak your mind? How can being true be better than "smooth" things ,than saying what the other expects of you?
The author therefore teaches us how to express what we feel.
To understand that disagreeing does not mean disenchantment on our part or on the other's part.
Thus allowing one to avoid many inner conflicts of being true to oneself in extension than being true to others.
Very useful book for people who have difficulty saying no, who are afraid of difference, who give too much importance to the gaze of others.
To go further
If you want to go beyond personal development books, there are training courses available.
Whether you want to become a new version of yourself or regain your self-confidence, there are all kinds. And you have to know how to sort out those that are legitimate.
I particularly recommend those of David LarocheHe is a speaker, coach and researcher in the field of personal development.
Considered a young prodigy, an expert in his field, he coaches celebrities as well as athletes all over the world.
While at the beginning, he was very shy and seriously lacked self-confidence. By training in personal development, he himself changed his life and wants to bring change to the lives of his coaches from now on.
