30 and still single: its advantages

How to put being single into perspective?

Here is a short, non-exhaustive list of some of the advantages of living alone.

  • Changing your mind, your project or even your life on a whim

Free to go away for the weekend on a whim, to move, to go on vacation to the other side of the world if your desire and finances allow it.

Organize impromptu evenings with friends without having to answer to Chouchou

You make all your decisions for yourself.

  • Watch whatever you want on TV, under your blanket with your herbal tea (yes I'm 35 guys, my evenings have changed a lot)

No need to wait until you are both there to continue watching the series you started together.

You can rewatch all the Bridget Joneses or salivate over the handsome guy in this new Netflix series at your convenience.

  • If you're not waxed and all smooth 24/7, no problem.
  • Get comfortable when you get home. Go jogging in your fleece. Down with glamour!
  • Not having to share food (Joey is getting out of this body, only real people will understand ;-))
  • You decorate as you want, you clean when you decide, you snack if you want.
  • You have room in bed, you can spread out and that's a luxury you no longer have as a couple.
  • You are surrounded. Yes, being single does not necessarily mean being alone

You develop a social circle, more open and available to activities and meetings.
