Here is a small catalog of new films and series to be released on the small and big screen at the start of spring 2022.
MOVIE THEATER
What have we all done to God? (06/04)
Pitch: For their parents' 40th wedding anniversary, the four daughters of Claude and Marie Verneuil have decided to organize a big surprise party in the family home in Chinon. For the occasion, they have invited the parents of each of their husbands for a few days. So, Claude and Marie will have to welcome Rachid's parents, David, Chao and Charles, under their roof. The party is already shaping up to be eventful.

Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore's Secrets (04/13)
Pitch : Professor Albus Dumbledore knows that the powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is seeking to take over the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead a fearless team of witches and wizards.
3e part of the saga inspired by the work of JK Rowling, we still find Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law in the cast.
The Secret of the Lost City – 04/20
Pitch: Reclusive author Loretta Sage writes about exotic locales in her adventure novels, which feature a handsome cover model named Alan. While on a book tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire who is searching for the lost treasure of an ancient city. Determined to prove he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of his books, Alan sets out to rescue her.
With no less than Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, Daniel Radcliffe and Channing Tatum in the lead roles. Just for this 4-star cast, it's worth a look.
Downtown Abbey 2: A New Era (04/27)
Pitch: 1928. As the Crawley family prepares to celebrate two weddings at Downton Abbey, including that of Tom Branson and his fiancée Lucy, the household is turned upside down when they learn that a Hollywood director has arrived unannounced to transform the house into a movie set.
This is the sequel to the TV series Downton Abbey, which aired between 2010 and 2016, and the film of the same name released in 2019. Which aimed to continue where the series left off.
The main protagonists of Downtown Abbey are there: Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery), Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael), Cora Crawley (Elizabeth McGovern), Robert Crawley (Hugh Bonneville), Tom Branson (Allen Leech) …
They are also joined by new faces, including French actress Nathalie Baye, who will play an old friend of Violet Crawley, Dominic West (The Affair,Colette) or even Hugh Dancy (Ella in the enchanted land).
SERIES
Elite season 5 (08/04 – Netflix)
Pitch: During season 4, we saw the few remaining original characters get mixed up with the 3 children of the new school principal as well as a troubled prince.
It's not yet clear what exactly season 5 will be about, but one thing is for sure, more characters will be leaving and we're expecting several more "dramas."
This new season is composed of 8 episodes
Several new characters will enhance the plot. Unfortunately it's over for Guzmán, one of the main characters since the first season. As well as for Ander (Aron Piper).
Russian Doll – season 2 (04/20 – Netflix)
Pitch: "Set four years after Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) and Alan (Charlie Barnett) escaped the time loop of death together, Russian Doll's second season will continue to explore existential themes through an often funny, sci-fi lens. Discovering a fate even worse than endless death, this season finds Nadia and Alan delving deeper into their past through an unforeseen time portal set in one of Manhattan's most notorious locations. At first, they experience it as an ever-expanding, time-traveling, intergenerational adventure, but they soon discover that this incredible event may be more than they ever imagined, and together, they must find a way out." Ozark season 4 part 2 (04/29 – Netflix)
Pitch: New cartel boss Javi Elizonndro (Alfonso Herrera) is convinced that Wendy (Laura Linney) and Marty (Jason Bateman) are partly responsible for Omar's arrest, but with Wendy's blackmail, Omar phones Javi from prison and convinces him to become an FBI informant for ten years.
Now comes the series finale, in which we finally learn the fate of the Byrde family.
