Here, we talk about everything that is part of our journey: the ups, the downs, the doubts, and even the moments when we feel like we've got it all wrong. The goal? To be as honest as possible with ourselves and with you, without filter or pretension. Because we're all a bit in the same boat, trying to understand what makes us move forward, or sometimes what makes us go round in circles. So, relax and let yourself be carried away. Let's go!

There are people who experience everything at a different speed. For them, life is a whirlwind of emotions that surge without warning. A smile from someone they love can melt their heart, and a clumsy word can send them into infinite melancholy. It's as if every sensation is experienced at 1000 miles an hour. Everything takes on unexpected proportions: a moment of joy can fill them with crazy energy, while a disappointment will knock them down as if all were lost. It's intense. Very intense.

But why this feeling of always being "too much"? Too happy, too sad, too sensitive, too emotional. Why this impression that everything happens with more force, more weight? Because they feel everything, all the time, at 150 %. And yes, sometimes, it's a real challenge. A slightly cold look can ruin their day, a misplaced word can destabilize them. It's not that they're looking for a storm, it's just that everything affects them deeply. And sometimes, it can become a burden to bear.

But despite this weight, there is a beauty in this way of living. Because feeling everything with such intensity is also a unique way of appreciating the little things in life. A sunset becomes a magical spectacle, a piece of music becomes a transcendent experience, a simple shared coffee can be a moment of pure happiness. And it's not just "living," it's truly live, with every fiber of his being.

It's also a superpower, this ability to pick up on other people's emotions. Sensitive people have this particular intuition, this radar that captures everything, even what others don't dare say. A simple tension in a room, a furtive glance... they feel it all. And this extra-sense, this deep empathy, pushes them to often be there for others. Because they know what it's like, this wave of emotions that surges without warning. They understand when someone needs comfort, listening, understanding. It's a form of connection that can be magical, but also exhausting.

The hardest part, ultimately, is when this sensitivity is misunderstood. Because those who don't feel as much, or in the same way, have trouble grasping this intensity. "It's not a big deal," "You take everything too seriously." And then, for the person who's living life to the fullest, these words can do more harm than good. Because, no, it's not just a little worry. It's everything. It's the whole thing, the wave of emotions that comes to invade their entire being, even if it doesn't always show.

So, how do we live with this intensity without drowning in the flow? How do we find balance? Because, yes, we have to breathe. We can't live with this intensity all the time. Sometimes we have to know how to let go, how to say "stop" and give ourselves a moment of calm, of peace. But that doesn't mean erasing this sensitivity. We simply have to learn to channel it, to understand it. It's a bit like a fire: it can warm us, it can illuminate us, but if we don't take care of it, it can also destroy everything.

The path is one of acceptance. Accepting that you are the one who feels everything, but also learning to protect yourself a little. Accepting to cry without shame, to laugh loudly, to love deeply. And above all, understanding that this sensitivity, far from being a burden, is a richness. It enables us to see things that others do not see, to feel what others do not feel. And if sometimes we need a little perspective, moments of calm to recharge, we must never forget that this intensity is part of who we are. It helps us touch the world in a truer, more authentic way.

And in the end, we come to understand that it's a richness. Yes, it can be exhausting. Yes, it's sometimes difficult to live with. But in the end, it allows us to savor each moment a little more. To not miss out on the little things. To live fully.

Welcome to "Almost Without a Filter," the podcast where I share my almost-forty-year-old chronicles, between life reflections, daily struggles, and small realizations.
